This fun and creative weekend workshop provides insight to the ins and outs of food photography. It acts as an introduction for anyone interested in improving their food styling and photography skills. You will leave the weekend with insider knowledge on how to take excellent and mouthwatering food images as well as a fully edited print of your work to start your collection.


Over the two days you will:


  • Work with daylight and create dappled light

  • Learn to style a variety of dishes including a dessert, main meal and fresh produce incidentals

  • Learn how to prop a shot to bring out the best of the food

  • Get and introduction to the professional photography program Capture One

  • Understand how to tether your camera to your capture one/transfer images from a memory card to your laptop

  • Get insider tips and tricks for ultimate food styling

  • Learn how to choose your angles for the perfect shot

  • Receive an introduction to post processing and editing


A fun weekend with delicious lunches provided, as well as drinks and nibbles to finalise our last day. We will be working from a beautiful food photography studio based in East London. The course is taught in small groups to get the most out of your two days and will give you the opportunity to ask any questions that come up in the process. It is required that you bring your own camera, laptop and tethering chord or memory card for this workshop.


Taught by London based food photographer, prop stylist and creative director Casey Lazonick and food stylist, recipe developer and prop stylist Joanna Resiak. Both with over a decade of experience within the food photography industry working for a variety of clients such as Waitrose, Asda, Diageo, Lidl, Harrods, BBC and many more.
